Heya! Believe it or not, it's the introduction to a pony comic I'm working on. I'll be releasing these pages as I color them (there are like 30... holy hell!).
If anyone checks this out and is into sad-ish MLP:FIM, expect lots of updates over the next few days. And if you're not into that grim/dark stuff, it's not THAT sad. It's actually kind of uplifting. And if you're not into ponies... >|: (
I'm a first-time pony-drawer! So I'm going off of guides that I've been collecting for the past few weeks.
Author's Note: This page is to act as a premise/disclaimer; the idea presented in this little poem does not reflect the comic as a whole, but rather the mood. This page was made after the finalization of the comic. As a newbie to drawing ponies, the figures and anatomy of my characters get better as the comic rolls on. So be patient!
Based off of the fact that Luna wasn't sent to the moon after being hit by the Friendship Laser a second time.
Let me say that the protagonist is not OC. At least not to me. The story centers around the "Nightmare" part of Nightmare Moon. So the protagonist is a concept that I characterized. I'm playing off of the assumption that Nightmare Moon and Luna are two different (although not entirely so) separate entities; I don't want to say anymore otherwise I might provide spoilers.
It is meant to be interpreted. There are lots of directions this comic could go. When I mixed up the dialogue, there were roles being reversed and you can find that the words of both Luna and Nightmare describes the both of them. It characterizes them and they characterize one another.
From here on out, if you are confused, read the description! I guarantee you that they are not this lengthy, just 3-4 liners.
Wonderful, I loved it, a truely tragic tale and even better Celestia was not played as being in the wrong... she was not made the villian and Luna the victim. Yet it's more then that, as there is truth in this, while light is not evil and is prefered to that of dark... dark is not evil either simply different. Yet this difference can be dangerous, even poisonness to many. Darkness can and does corrupt but not because it wants to, it is because it is different.
this comic had a slight influence on my creating True Nightmare, my villain OC. You can find more info on him on my profile. I just thought I'd tell you I was partly influenced by this on him
